The Causeway, in Field Place, Worthing, includes an eight-storey tower, which used to be home to Lloyd’s TSB registrars.

Planning permission granted for the site will allow a new owner to demolish the building to make way for a redevelopment consisting of 154 apartments, a 22,000 square ft A1 retail space and a 300 space car park.

Steve Berrett, head of commercial at Michael Jones, is marketing the property along with Stiles Harold Williams, he said: “The new Causeway scheme will completely rejuvenate this part of the town as it promises to bring new life and jobs to the local community. This is an exciting opportunity for a large developer to really make their mark and be part of the continually growing area of Field Place.”
