This picture, sent in by Herald reader Christopher Parry, shows what looks to be stickers placed on damaged panels on the Adur Ferry Bridge across the River Adur in Shoreham.

It shows people and robots firing guns or lasers at the point at which the panel was smashed.

It was believed it was done intentionally.

However a year prior to that, in November 2014, six glass panels were found smashed on the bridge.

Following an investigation by the county council it was discovered that five of the panels contained an impurity called nickel sulphide, which led to the damage.

The sixth one was believed to be vandalism. The cost of repairs to the six panels was estimated at £6,000.
