Readers might find cute young identical twins Frank and Mariusz Lewis look familiar.

That is because the pint-sized duo have already starred in several television shows, most recently appearing in the current series of ITV1’s hit period drama Downton Abbey.

The boys, aged three-and-a-half, began their acting career at the tender age of 14 months, and have won roles in Harry Potter, Rock and Chips and Any Human Heart.

Their dad Guy, 34, of Hillbarn Lane, Worthing, said: “It does give you that proud little moment when you see them on the screen, and it’s nice for their grandparents to get to see them, as they don’t live locally.

“With Downton, they filmed it over three days in April.

“The cast were really friendly, and because they were playing a named character, they wanted to have an affinity with them, so they spent time playing with them.

“At one point, I found Mariusz playing on a giant trampoline with the cast in their 1920s costumes. They had a lovely time.”

Guy and Hanna signed their sons up to an agency in London for twin actors, and since then have attended a steady stream of casting calls.

They said they will continue to do it as long as the boys are enjoying it.

Guy said: “It’s a nice family day out.

“We get paid money to chaperone them, and they get a little bit of money which we have been putting aside for them for when they’re older.

“They’ve already got a reputation for being good on set, as they don’t cry and they’re quite confident.

“They love it, but as soon as they show signs that they don’t want to do it, we’ll stop.”

The twins played Charlie Parks in Downton Abbey, in the episode which aired on October 7, but only Frank’s scenes were shown.
