They have been spotted joining in the nationwide Big Learner Relay, raising money to make a real difference to the lives of children all across the UK.

The aim was to carry a Pudsey Bear top-box around the country, following the success of the first Big Learner Relay last year.

The convoy from Chichester, led by Bogor Regis driving instructor Steve Pearce, arrived at Arundel Castle last Friday afternoon.

The top-box was handed over on the castle lawns for the next part of the journey, a convoy from Arundel to Brighton. Arundel driving instructor Nigel Cull captured pictures with the castle as a backdrop.

David Lancaster, a Littlehampton driving instructor, led the convoy to the Amex Stadium, with the Pudsey top-box attached to his car. In honour of the occasion, he covered his car in Children in Need dots to help raise awareness of the relay.

He said: “The whole idea was created by Louise Walsh and she is travelling the whole route in the lead car of each stage, with the Pudsey Bear top-box on each lead car.”
