Durrington Festival takes on the final frontier

SPACE is the theme for this year’s Durrington Festival, which will be held on Saturday.

he themed carnival procession will leave Yeoman Way, Durrington, at 1.30pm, with revellers making their way to the Pond Lane recreation ground. Leading them will be the festival princess and Worthing mayor Bob Smytherman, who will be followed by members of community and musical groups, all dressed for the occasion.There will be a host of attractions at the festival fayre, at the recreation ground, including stalls, refreshments and the Harris Brothers’ traditional fun fair.

Also making an appearance will be the Brighton and Hove Albion youth in the community football coaches, who will host a football competition.

The day will continue into the evening, with visitors invited to bring along a picnic.
