East Worthing and Shoreham MP welcomes additional regional multi-million funding

A MAJOR renewed round of the Regional Growth Fund aimed at companies within our region has been welcomed by East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton.

The latest £350 million tranche is being made available from the scheme, which is now in its fourth round and has seen significant investment in the South East.

In total, 65,000 jobs across the region have been created under the fund, with Shoreham-based engineering firm recently gaining a total of £16million towards expanding its manufacturing operations.

Mr Loughton believed there would be further opportunities for companies across the Herald and Gazette area. He said: “‘I want to encourage all companies in my constituency to take advantage of this next round of investment from the Regional Growth Fund. This £350 million of investment will help businesses grow and could support thousands of new jobs in the South East.’

‘This fund is part of the Government’s relentless drive to support economic growth across the country and rebalance the economy. This is in addition to boosting investment in apprenticeships, making it easier to create new businesses, cutting regulation and encouraging existing firms to export.’
