£9.5m cash boost for host of school projects

NEW classrooms for St Mary’s Primary School, Pulborough, will be built in West Sussex County Council’s £9.5million capital programme for 2011/12.

Other Worthing area schools to benefit from maintenance schemes such as heating, replacement windows and roofing are: Vale First and Middle School, Findon Valley; Palatine School, Worthing; Rydon School, Storrington; Sompting Village Primary School; Storrington First School.

Peter Griffiths, cabinet member for education and schools, said: “I am delighted that West Sussex schools have benefited from additional capital funding this year from the coalition government.”
