FORMER Eastenders actress Cheryl Fergison gave an inspirational speech at a two-day awareness and fundraising event.
Worthing Scope organised the event at St Paul’s Centre on Friday and Saturday, featuring a range of activities.
Fashion shows took place across both days, along with demonstrations from businesses, live music and the talk from the actress, who played Heather Trott in the long-running soap.
Tina Scott, of Worthing Scope, said: “There was great interest from the public for the event and it was very successful.
“The event was organised by Worthing Scope in partnership with Taking Shape and we raised £278 from a raffle, which will go towards Scope.
“We had fashion shows and local businesses doing demonstrations and promoting themselves.
“Cheryl did an inspirational talk on being a larger woman and how you can still dress fashionably.”
