Extra train services to aid Jubilee travellers

On Saturday, June 2, a normal Saturday service will be running, and on Sunday, June 3, it will be the usual Sunday timetable.

On Monday, June 4, and Tuesday, June 5, a Saturday service will also be running - and some trains will be lengthened to accommodate more passengers.

On Sunday, the Royal River Pageant takes place with around 90,000 people expected to view the event from Battersea Park. Until 3pm, for the safety and comfort of passengers, a spokesperson said no northbound trains will call at Battersea Park. Passengers will be required to circulate via Victoria, but there will be an additional hourly train calling southbound at Battersea Park, pushing the frequency of arrivals to six trains per hour. After 3pm, six southbound trains will call, with 10 trains per hour calling northbound.

On Monday, the BBC Concert at Buckingham Palace is expected to draw big crowds. Southern will be lengthening some of its late night and last trains to get everyone home.
