Family honour loved one killed in car crash

THE FAMILY of a Lancing man who died in a crash have issued a tribute to their father, who is ‘much missed’.

Ben Finch, 42, of Coombes Road, Lancing, died in a road traffic collision on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Selhurstpark Road, Goodwood.

The black BMW he was driving east, left the road and collided with a tree at about 3.30pm.

The car caught fire and tragically Mr Finch died within the car.

DNA tests confirmed his identity, which was announced on Cristmas 
Eve.

Speaking on behalf of the family, his wife, Victoria Finch, said: “Ben was the loving father of a 16-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son, and is very much missed by all the family.

“He was an independent financial adviser who had lived and worked in the Lancing area.”

Police are continuing to investigate the crash and have appealed again for any witnesses to come forward.

In particular, officers would like to hear from the driver of a dark coloured Land Rover Defender 110 that is believed to have been nearby at the time.
