Fears noise pollution could hit harbour

NOISE could be the latest pollution threat posed by sewage disposal operations in Chichester Harbour.

Controversy has already flared over sewage discharge causing potential health hazards in the waters of the sensitive harbour area of outstanding natural beauty.

Now there are fears about noise pollution as well, focused on a $15million uipgrade taking place at Southern Water's Appledram sewage works, which deals with all the waste from Chichester.
