Worthing will have a temporary ice rink again this winter after Worthing Borough Council agreed a deal with a hire company.
In previous years, the Worthing Town Centre Initiative has organised the annual attraction, based in Steyne Gardens.
However, it had no plans to continue it this year after the number of skaters last year reached a record low.
Following discussions with the council, the Cities on Ice company will run the rink this year, after seeing it in action last year.
The rink will open between Saturday, February 9, and Sunday, March 10, next year.
Sharon Clarke, town centre manager, said that it was positive that an outside agency had stepped in.
She said: “From our point of view, the fact that it’s not risking our finances or the tax payers’money is a positive thing and it proves that Worthing is seen as a good investment.
“We weren’t going to run the rink this year as it cost £110,000 to run last year and we made a loss.”
