Ferring florist’s floral dress wins Chelsea award
A SENIOR florist was awarded a Silver Flora at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Lucinda Knapman, manager of Broadwater Flowers, in Ferring Street, Ferring, picked up the award in the prestigious competition’s Florist of the Year category.
The brief for the competition was to create a fantasy floral dress suitable for a crystal ball. For her award-winning design, Lucinda used micro-orchids, China grass and 1,500 pressed hydrangea petals.
