Ferring teen bailed over attacks against women

A TEENAGE boy arrested on suspicion of common assault, sexual assault, attempted robbery and a public order offence, has been rebailed until April 26.

The 15-year-old boy from Ferring answered bail on Tuesday in connection with an investigation into four recent incidents in Ferring and Goring, each involving women.

Three of the incidents happened in Ferring on March 19 between 2.20pm and 3.10pm, and involved a 20-year-old woman reporting being followed; a 19-year-old woman being assaulted when leaving public toilets on the village green and a 36-year-old woman being grabbed from behind after sexual remarks were made to her. The following day an attempt was made to snatch a 15-year-old girl’s bag as she was walking near Goring railway station.
