A FINDON man who was spotted driving ‘erratically’ has been banned from the roads after being convicted of drink-driving.
Kieran Ryan was spotted by an off-duty detective driving an Audi A5 erratically on the A27 at Worthing at about 11.45pm on June 6.
When officers stopped Ryan on the A24 at Findon, the 46-year-old had 89 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millitres of his breath - more than twice the legal limit.
Ryan, of Stable Lane, Findon, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on June 23.
He was banned from driving for 15 months, fined £200 and ordered to pay £235 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
He is the latest person to be convicted following Sussex and Surrey Police’s joint, month-long campaign to stamp-out drink and drug-driving.
Police are still urging people in Sussex to remain vigilante to possible in drink-drivers.
