A spokesman for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service confirmed crews were alerted to the incident at 12.12pm.
“We sent two fire engines from Worthing,” said a spokesman.
“They used one hose reel and two high pressure hose reels to tackle the fire.”
Firefighters left the scene at 12.50pm, the spokesman added.
