Fire crews called to Worthing home fire

FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a blaze in a Worthing flat this evening (August 6).

Fire crews were called at 6.17pm to Seamill Park Crescent after the fire was reported.

A spokesman from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said one person was treated for smoke inhalation but it did not appear they were taken to hospital.

He said the fire was in a first floor flat and started accidentally.

Firefighters left the scene at 7.07pm.
