Fire crews tackle flooding in West Sussex homes

HEAVY rainfall has caused homes to flood as drains can't cope with the extra water.

Fire crews from Worthing and Shoreham were called out to Seafield Avenue, Goring, after water came up from sewers, flooding a workshop and gardens.

Seven gardens were affected during the morning of Friday, January 23, and the drain was backed up to Marine Crescent.

Water was coming up through drains into the kitchen, which was pumped out and the area sandbagged.
