Firefighters rescue cat stuck on Worthing roof for two days

Firefighters today came to the rescue of a cat which had found itself stranded on a rooftop for two days.

But it was feline fine after being carried to safety by a team of firefighters.

Crews said the cat tried to ‘rescue itself’ by climbing down their ladder, before getting stuck halfway down.

The hapless moggy was rescued from a rooftop in Lansdowne Road, Worthing, after being stuck there for two days.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 11.10am today (May 28) and it took crews around 45 minutes to rescue the cat.
