Firefighters rescue child trapped in car
FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue a young child trapped in a car in Worthing town centre this afternoon (Wednesday, January 29).
The crew attended Wyke Avenue at 12.40pm, where they freed the child, which had been locked in, with the keys inside the car.
To the relief of the child’s parents, specialist equipment was used to prise open the door far-enough for the keys to be retrieved.
No damage was caused as a result.
