Firefighters rescue ill man from Worthing flat

FIREFIGHTERS were called upon to remove a man from his second floor flat via a window after he fell ill.

A crew from Worthing fire station used its aerial ladder platform to carry out the manoeuvre in Rowlands Road, Worthing, at 10.36pm last night.

The rescue was completed around midnight. An ambulance crew then rushed the man to hospital.

His condition is not yet known.
