A rear conservatory door was forced open in Sea Lane between 9.30am and 2.30pm. The offender made off with a large 55inch television, several cameras, games consoles, an iPad and a laptop computer, along with a number of items of jewellery of sentimental value, including a medal from the First World War.

Detective Constable Emma Fields said: “Given the time of the burglary and the amount of things stolen, there’s every chance that there was more than one offender and they may have been watching the property, and perhaps others, in the time leading up to them breaking in. I would think that they also had a vehicle close by to transport the stolen items.
