Flames destroy cars in Lancing and Patching

Two cars were deliberately set ablaze last night in Lancing and Patching.

Firefighters received a report of a burning car in Elm Grove, Lancing, at 9.50pm. One crew from Worthing attended and used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the blaze, which completely destroyed the car.

A fire crew from East Preston was dispatched to a field in Swillage Lane, Patching, at 22.35pm, after receiving a report of another burning car.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire which, again, completely destroyed the vehicle.
