Flats approved for Barnham pub

FLATS can be created on the top two floors of a Barnham pub.

The Wellington Pub Company has received planning approval from Arun District Council for the conversion work at The Barnham Hotel.

It will see the first and second floors along with a rear first floor extension turned into six flats.

Council planning officer Susan Leeson says in her report the work is a good use of the building on Barnham Road.

“The proposal will provide six flats in a sustainable location,” she states.

“It is considered the proposal does not result in any material harm to the visual or neighbourly amenity, neither does it adversely impact on highway safety or flooding in the area.”
