Councillor Charles James, Major Tom Wye MBE and Christine Brown have been conferred the title of Honorary Alderman.

Mr James said: “The role of mayor opens one’s eyes to all the positive aspects and actions of Worthing, and makes one realise how fortunate it is to be a resident of the town, and to have served as the mayor. To be granted the status of Honorary Alderman is a great privilege, and I will always cherish this honour.”
