Caroline Botterill, 33, of Dart Close, in Durrington, was diagnosed with cancer in March last year.

Following operations in November and January she has been given the all clear and is now helping the cancer charity Macmillan to raise funds for the new centre, which receives no government funding.

Caroline said: “It’s a really worthwhile thing. It’s the first one in the UK. There was nothing like that available to me.”
