Fundraising Asda be a good idea

Customers at Asda in Ferring helped raise over a thousand pounds for breast cancer charities as part of the supermarket chain’s Tickled Pink campaign.

The Littlehampton Road store held a fundraisng day with raffles, tombolas and lucky dips.

Some brave male members of staff even had their legs and chests waxed to raise money for the cause.

Staff and customers raised £875 and the store made a donation of £250 to members of Butterflies Breast Cancer Support Group.

Martyn Gallon, general store manager at Asda Ferring, said: “It was fantastic to see our colleagues and customers get fully behind the day’s activities as we all know someone or a family that has been affected by cancer.”
