Giuseppes, in Warwick Lane, Worthing, is holding a charity dinner on Tuesday, October 29, to raise money for Lucia’s Foundation, the fund set up by Chatsmore Catholic High School in memory of 16-year-old Lucy Goulding, who died earlier this year of a brain tumour the day before she was due to be crowned prom queen.

The parents of Luca Maison, a chef at Giuseppes, were Lucy’s God-parents.

Luca said: “It is personal to all of us at the restaurant and we are trying to do as much as we can here.

“It will be a simple set up. It is going to be a good spread and we will be asking for donations.”

There will also be an auction with funds raised going to Lucia’s foundation. Prizes include one night’s bed and breakfast at the Ardington Hotel in Worthing.

On the evening a selection of Italian tapas, will be made available, including calamari fritti, arancini siciliani, bruschetta, aubergine parmigiana, vegetali fritti and Garlic Bread.
