Gabriella making fair start to raise £150,000 for unit

TWO years ago, teenager Gabriella Palombo was hit by a car when crossing the road with two friends at Itchenor. One of her friends was killed and Gabriella nearly died too.

Her life was saved by the care she received at the paediatric intensive care unit at Southampton General Hospital where she was treated for five weeks.

Following a lengthy rehabilitation, Gabriella (18) of Bury, near Pulborough has returned to school and now wants to do something to help the unit that saved her life.
