EPILEPSY sufferer Teresa Howard is doing a sponsored swim to raise money for the charity that has helped her.
The 36-year-old has had the condition since she was two, and in that time she said she has greatly benefited from the support, expertise and services offfered by the National Epilepsy Society.
And it was this that spurred her on to do the one-hour swim on June 30, at Littlehampton Swimming and Sports Centre.
Teresa, of Mulberry Gardens, Goring, said: “I have quite severe epilepsy. I have to take medication four times a day and have seizures every day.
“When I do the swim I will have to have a nurse with me at all times.
“I don’t know how far I will go, but I’ll just do as much as I can in an hour.
“The National Epilepsy Society has been really helpful to me, so I wanted to give something back to help people who suffer with it like me.”
