Grosvenor Park tea party

A tea party with music was enjoyed by residents and visitors at Grosvenor Park in Brookfield Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Town Mayor Councillor Paul Lendon attended the event which home manager Jane Smith said was a "lovely" occasion.

Everyone enjoyed sandwiches, cream jakes, scones and strawberries while listening to music performed by the Charleston Quartet.

Jane said: "It was a thank-you and a getting-to-know-you, so that other people can see what activities we have here in case they want to come along and join in.

"It was a really nice do - they had a lovely tea and the music was a delight, everybody enjoyed that...It was a very pleasant afternoon. We just wanted to thank people and introduce ourselves."
