Hall extension plans shelved

Plans for a 50-seater room extension to Pagham Village Hall have been shelved.

The trustees of the community building made the decision after hearing that the neighbouring church site could be redeveloped.

Church officials intend to create a similar sized facility on a revamped St Ninian's United Reformed Church site on Pagham Road.

This caused the hall trustees to reconsider their plans for the moment because of the risk of creating two rooms for hire next to each other. The decision was announced by Pagham Parish Council chairman Cllr Ray Radmall at the recent annual parish meeting. The council owns the hall, which is run by the trustees.
