‘Hazardous substance’ call was false alarm
FIREFIGHTERS were called to Lancing Business Park this afternoon after reports of a spillage of a potentially hazardous substance.
The crew, from Worthing Fire Station, attended the scene in Spencer Road, Lancing, at 1.30pm.
They investigated the spillage of a white powder, which was later confirmed as non-hazardous cleaning material.
They cleared the spillage and left the scene.
