Health boss criticised for delays

LENGTHENING delays over unveiling proposals for a new blueprint for health services in West Sussex were defended by a senior health boss at a meeting in Chichester.

John Wilderspin, chief executive of West Sussex Primary Care Trust, said that a decision on when public consultation should start had still not been made.

He faced criticism from some members of the county council's health overview and scrutiny committee and a claim that rumour was filling the information 'vacuum'.
