Bupa Dental Care Worthing, in Mill Road, organised a fun day with dressing up, a photo booth, goody bags and face painting.

Practice manager Jonathan Daly said it was a great success, with 25 children and three adults going along for dental services on the fun day.

“The dentist can be a scary prospect for patients, which is why we decided to have a fun day to welcome kids and their families to the practice,” he added.

“Oral health care is key in preventing gum disease and decay and we want to attract patients from a young age to visit the dentist regularly, so that in future years our patients will be comfortable to visit us for regular check-ups.

“Our staff gave out information and goody bags. We also had dedicated face painting and a dressing up as a dentist station, which proved to be very popular.”

The fun day was so successful, the practice plans to do it all again later in the year.

Lead nurse Hannah Pheasant said: “Patients arrived nervous and we made visiting the dentist fun. They left happy and will come back next time less anxious.”
