SANTA’S little helpers are set to down tools in a bid to break a world record – and you are invited to join them for the attempt.

Organiser Robert Luff, of estate agent Robert Luff & Co, hopes the event will raise thousands of pounds for St Barnabas House hospice and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

He said: “This should be great fun and will raise lots of much-needed cash for two incredible charities. We knows these are tough times, so we have made this a free event. Robert Luff & Co, and House Buy Fast, antoher local property firm, have donated the elf hats and ears to give out for free – but people must register first.

“All are welcome, although to qualify for a world record, attendees must wear red or green tops. ‘Yule’ be sorry if you miss it!”

Robert is hoping as many people as possible will turn out for the event, leading to he area taking the record from Camarthenshire, Wales.

It was there, last year, that 762 ‘elves’ turned out, and it is hoped more than a thousand people will join in the fun in Worthing.

The world record-breaking attempt will take place at midday on Saturday, December 7, at Steyne Gardens, Worthing, and will be officially logged with Guiness World Records. Registration is free
