VOLUNTEERS are needed to join Sussex Wildlife Trust’s Saturday Hit Squad.

The group visits a different nature reserve each week to carry out conservation tasks.

Volunteers meet at the trust’s headquarters, Woods Mill in Henfield, at 9am to pick up a lift in the Land Rover to the chosen site.

The hit squad works throughout Sussex, from Hastings in the east to Chichester in the west, and handles a variety of tasks.

Volunteers must be aged over 16 years old and, if preferred, can meet the hit squad team on site.

Sessions are 9am to 4pm and there is no obligation to volunteer each week. Tools and training are provided.

To attend a taster session, contact Liz Francis, email lizfrancis@sussexwt.org.uk or telephone Liz 01273 497562.
