HM Courts Service: Results list for March 6 to 10, 2017

The following are the latest results contributed by HM Courts Service, for cases sentenced by West Sussex Magistrates' Court sitting at Worthing from March 6 to 10, 2017.

Terry Higgins, 44, of Purbeck Place, Littlehampton, was given a community order with Drug Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after admitting drug-driving (22mg cocaine per litre of blood) in Guildford Road, Rustington, on August 6, 2016. He must pay £85 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and was disqualified from driving for three years. He was fined £120 after admitting driving without insurance. He also admitted wilfully obstructing a police constable and driving on a road after revocation of his driving licence on account of disability, no separate penalty.

Barnaby Macey, of Norfolk Road, Littlehampton, must pay £3,961.83 in total (£100 a month) or in default serve 30 days’ imprisonment after a complaint for non-payment of council tax and costs.

Stuart McCullough, 28, of Wolstenbury Road, Rustington, admitted breaching a suspended sentence order, which will continue with an additional three days’ Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, 33 days in total, and must pay £60 costs.

Kelly Thomas, 29, of Ashdown Road, Worthing, was fined £100 after admitting breaching a suspended sentence order, which will continue. She must pay £60 costs.

Sean Rowe, 50, of Wallace Court, Wallace Avenue, Worthing, must pay £1,500 compensation, £150 costs, after admitting driving the land train on Worthing promenade without due care and attention. His driving record was endorsed with seven points.

Joseph Boswell, 24, of Pony Farm, Findon, was fined £120 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (72mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) on the A24 Findon on February 19, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months.

William Fowler, 18, of Victoria Road, Shoreham, was fined £160 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (48mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Church Lane, Southwick, on February 18, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months.

Jing Jiang, 41, of Surrey Street, Littlehampton, was fined £400 and must pay £40 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (44mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Upper Bognor Road, Bognor Regis, on February 19, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Steve Nullmeyers, 29, of Upper High Street, Worthing, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting causing £100 damage to a front door in Worthing on February 19, 2017.

David Royce, 52, of Caxton Court, Broadwater Road, Worthing, was fined £276 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (81mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Sompting Road, Broadwater, on February 18, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months.

Benjamin Taylor, 20, of Bramber Court, Bruce Avenue, Worthing, must pay £500 compensation, £85 costs, after admitting being in charge of a Staffordshire bull terrier dog that was dangerously out of control in Storrington Rise, Findon Valley, on December 2, 2016, and injured another man. An order was made which included a ruling the dog be kept muzzled and on a lead in public.

Daniel Thompson, 34, of Cobham Close, Yapton, was fined £161 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £625 costs, after being found guilty of driving without due care and attention on the A249 Yapton on August 17, 2016. His driving record was endorsed with four points.

Layla Ganley, 23, of Wheatcroft, Wick, was fined £50 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting damaging a police car in Littlehampton on November 19, 2016. She was fined £150 after admitting wilfully obstructing a police constable in Littlehampton on November 19, 2016. She was fined £50 after admitting a second charge of wilfully obstructing a police constable in Littlehampton on November 19, 2016. She admitted breaching a conditional discharge order and was fined £50 for the original offence of damaging a car.

Harry Cottingham, 22, of Palatine Road, Goring, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 160 hours’ unpaid work after admitting causing £70 damage to a door in Worthing on December 11, 2016; arson; and making a threatening phone call. He was also given a restraining order and must pay £235 compensation, £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He also admitted using threatening words or behaviour likely to cause distress in Worthing on December 11, 2016, no separate penalty.

Lee Knight, 52, of St Cuthman’s Road, Steyning, was fined £140 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (52mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Church Street, Steyning, on February 22, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months.

Noel Mason, 46, of Moore Close, Durrington, was fined £250 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (3.0ug/l Delta-9-THC) on the A27 Sompting on January 10, 2017. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Tina Gibbs, 47, of Foxes Croft, Barnham, was fined £100 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving over the 40mph speed limit on the A286 Haslemere on February 3, 2016. Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

Simon Cole, 51, of Foxes Croft, Barnham, must pay £250 compensation, £200 costs, after being found guilty of obstructing a South East Coast Ambulance Service employee who was responding to an emergency in Bognor Regis on November 16, 2016.

Naeem Khan, 44, of Pavilion Road, Worthing, was given a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 300 hours’ unpaid work after being found guilty of sexually touching a man without consent in Worthing on November 7, 2016. He must pay £80 victim surcharge, £200 costs, and register at Worthing Police Station for seven years. He was fined a total of £50 after admitting two charges of failing to surrender to custody at Worthing Magistrates’ Court, on December 29, 2016, and January 26, 2016. He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge order, no action taken.

Karen Bishenden, 53, of Old Shoreham Road, Southwick, was fined £60 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting failing to stop at a red light in Old Shoreham Road, Portslade, on July 12, 2016. Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

William Tansey, 29, of Beach Green, Shoreham Beach, was fined £73 and must pay £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving a vehicle with an illegal tyre (tread depth below 1.6mm limit) on the A243 Oxford on June 19, 2016. His driving record was endorsed with three points.
