Hometown talk delights novelist

AN award-winning author is relishing the opportunity to give a talk at Worthing Library.

Juliet West grew up in St Andrew’s Road, Tarring, and went to Durrington High School, before attending Worthing Sixth Form College.

She signed a two-book deal with Macmillan publishers in 2013 and released her debut novel ‘Before the Fall’ last May.

Juliet said: “Over the past 12 months, I have appeared at many literary events all over the country, but I’m absolutely delighted to be giving a talk in Worthing as it’s my home town.

“On the evening I’ll be talking about my experiences of writing and getting published, as well as the background to my first novel, which is based on a true First World War story.”

The talk has been arranged to celebrate World Book Night and takes place at 7pm on Thursday.
