Hospice sets virtual triathlon challenge – and Burgess Hill leisure centre offers free spin classes in support
St Peter and St James Hospice is asking local athletes – or anyone keen to get fitter – to complete a triathlon in their own time throughout the 29 days of February.
Those signing up will need to cycle 40km, swim 1.5km, and either walk or run 10km.

Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill is also offering free spin sessions throughout the month to help people complete the challenge.
Through its inpatient ward, wellbeing services and specialist community nursing team, St Peter and St James Hospice provides hospice care to people living with terminal illness. Support is also offered to family and friends as they deal with the challenges of bereavement and grief.
With each participant encouraged to collect £80 sponsorship for their efforts, the 2020 Virtual Triathlon will contribute towards the running of these vital services.
