When you sit behind a desk all day – picking up a spade and digging out a garden may not seem like your idea of fun.
But this was not the case for one group of HSBC invoice finance workers from Worthing, who took to the shovel and hoe to clear out a 100ft garden last week (June 26-28).
The team are allowed a certain amount of time off work to do things for the local community, and chose to help weed-whack for Worthing Scope, who work with people with learning difficulties.
Jan Garland, HSBC invoice group team leader, stressed that whilst the team were away, there was enough staff at the office to ensure normal service continued.
