West Sussex County Council is experiencing intermittent problems with its phone lines this morning (Tuesday 21 June).
The technical glitch has affected the authority’s contact centre telephone lines provided by Capita.
Residents are asked to contact the county council online if they experience difficulty with the telephone lines.
Work to fix the fault, which has affected telephone lines nationwide, are being treated with the highest priority by Capita.
Residents can visit www.westsussex.gov.uk/contact-us for further details or can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Critical services are being maintained during this period.
A spokesman for WSCC said: “The county council would again like to thank all residents for their patience during this period and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
