Jempsons fined for mice infestation
JEMPSONS Superstore at Peasmarsh has been fined £4,000 after mice-droppings were found in food preparation areas.
A shopper raised the alarm after spotting a mouse in the store.
When environmental health experts from Rother visited in February last year they found mice-droppings in the delicatessen, cake preparation area, the butchery area, bakery and the bakery store.
They said photographs taken at the time showed a lack of cleaning.
A spokesman at the family owned supermarket said it was an isolated incident.
