However, West Grinstead Parish councillor Greg Taylor, who heads the local planning committee is reported by the Daily Mirror as saying the application was ‘sneaky’.

The Mirror online reports Mr Taylor as saying: “It was temporary accommodation, but the reason for it has changed. It seems sneaky.”

The County Times approached Mr Taylor for comment who said he did not recall referring to the application as ‘sneaky’ but added that ‘the concern expressed by the committee was about what happens after the new three year term‘.

The formal comments his planning committee made to HDC planners on behalf of the parish were as follows: “We are not persuaded by the arguments put forward but on the basis that it is permanent use of a temporary building just for three years we have no objection.”

The Mirror has stated the cabin is for the use of Ms Price’s son Harvey’s nanny.

Ms Price’s planning agent Alison Freeman is reported to have said that the 11 year old has ‘complex life-threatening conditions and is registered blind’ and that ‘he needs 24-hour care’ and ‘it is essential that the carer has her own living area so she can rest’.
