Knitted goods are distributed in Africa
Items knitted by women in Lancing and Sompting have been distributed in Africa.
Richard and Elaine Brunton and Ann James have just returned from a Living Hope Ministries trip to Uganda, Kenya and DR Congo.
Elaine said: “We were able to distribute knitted dolls, teddies, clothes and blankets to needy children in each of these countries.
“We also passed on a sum of money which was raised at a musical concert in February, led by 13-year-old Luke Cambridge, to purchase 100 young chickens.”
A team of young people will be looking after the chickens and it is hoped eggs will be produced, which will help to feed the children of the Kitetikka School in Uganda.
