Lancing Library teams up with tattoo artist for competition

LANCING Library is teaming up with a local tattoo artist to run a design competition.

Members of the public are being encouraged to get in touch with their creative side and put pen to paper for the chance to win a selection of prizes.

Roger Clark, from Keepsake Tattoo, will judge the competition which runs from Saturday to November 14. Winners will be announced on November 21.

For anyone wanting some inspiration, they can browse and borrow the many tattoo books on display in the library throughout November. The library service has a wide collection of tattooing books; they range from new publications to older, out of print titles.

A library spokesman said: “We hope this competition will highlight the many and varied collections of books the library holds and shows customers that we really do have something for everyone.”

Roger and his team will be displaying their artwork in the library throughout November.

The competition rules can be found at www.westsussex.gov.uk/libraries/whats-on-in-libraries/talks-and-events-for-adults/november-2015/geek-week-design-a-tattoo-competition, and inside Lancing Library and Keepsake Tattoo. Entry is free.
