Graham Borrie, 52, took on the task last Sunday, when he had his head shaved by Lancing barber Harvey of Esquires Barbers.

He was supported by members of his family to raise much-needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause close to his heart as he lost his father to cancer some years ago, followed last year by his sister-in-law.

His brother-in-law is currently undergoing treatment for cancer as well.

So far, Graham has raised just over £400 for the charity, and hopes to raise more by the time he is finished.

Graham said: “Cancer is a terrible disease that has or will touch practically everyone’s lives at some point, so whatever little help can be given to help combat it or make things easier for those affected by it is extremely important.

“I want to show my support in some small way and raise some funds to enable others to get the support and help they need most.”
