Lancing nurse found not guilty of sexual assault

A nurse who was charged with sexually assaulting patients at a private hospital has been found not guilty.

Ioan Galatanu, 53, of South Street, Lancing, was accused of sexually assaulting two women patients at BMI Goring Hall Hospital in Bodiam Avenue, Goring, in 2013.

A jury at Lewes Crown Court failed to reach a verdict and was discharged.

The prosecution offered no evidence at a hearing on Wednesday March 16 and Mr Galatanu was formally acquitted.
