Lancing pensioner dies in Worthing crash

A PENSIONER died at lunchtime today (Monday, April 26) after he crashed into a fence in Goring.

Police believe the 78-year-old man from Lancing, who has not been named yet, died after collapsing at the wheel before driving his VW Polo into a fence in Goring Road, Worthing.

The pensioner died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured.

The accident happened at 12.45pm, with the road closed for about an hour and traffic redirected.
