Trainer for 24fitcamp and Worthing resident, Craig Blackham, said it had been a ‘massive success’, with 170 residents attending the first session at Sir Robert Woodard Academy on January 6.

“We offer our free fit camp as an opportunity for anyone and everyone to come along and join in our workouts,” he said.

Last year, 24fitcamp started out in Shoreham, but the club was moved to two indoor locations at Lancing and Worthing for the winter season.

“It started being run by a variety of coaches who are a part of a nutritional company who used FitCamp to support people in getting fit and healthy. However, these people did this in their own time and had full-time jobs alongside.

“The Shoreham FitCamp hit the community massively and the first session catered for over 100 people.”

This month, the club, which caters for all abilities, has started a new four-week phase at the new Lancing and Worthing facilities.

Craig continued: “We track their progress throughout the four weeks and monitor how much they improve.”

Moving the club to Lancing has been a positive move for the team as it is closer to home for many of the coaches.

“This meant we could get more friends and family along,” he said.
